General Body Notice

The General Body of St John’s Mar Thoma Church will be 

Acknowledgement

Thank you lay leaders for leading today’s Divine service and for Mr. Manoj Thomas for the inspiring message. Thank you, choir, and media committee for assisting with today’s service. 

Worship Service

Next Sunday, the Holy Communion Service will be celebrated in Malayalam at 8:00 a.m. Sunday School will begin at 10:30 AM

The following services will be help during the Passion week:

March 25th Monday 7pm: Sandhya Namaskaram in Malayalam

March 26th Tuesday 7pm: Sandhya Namaskaram in English

March 27th Wednesday 7pm: Sandhya Namaskaram in Malayalam

March 28th Maundy Thursday 7pm: Holy Communion in English 

March 29th Good Friday 9am: First Service in Malayalam, Second in English and Third in Malayalam

March 31st Sunday 830am: Holy Communion in Malayalam

Parish Day

St Johns Mar Thoma Church will celebrate our Parish Day on March 23rd, Saturday. Our Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Dr Abraham Mar Paulos episcopa will lead the Holy Communion service in English at 9am. A public meeting will be organized after the service and will be followed by lunch. Requesting your prayerful participation  for the parish day program. 

Executive Committee notice

An executive committee meeting of St. John's Mar Thoma Church, Michigan will be held online on Monday  March 18th , 2024 at 7 PM via Webex. Vicar/President Rev. Jeswin S. John will preside over the meeting. Requesting prayerful participation of all executive committee members. 

Choir

The General body meeting of STJMTC choir will be held online on Sunday March 17th 2024 , 7 PM, via Webex, presided by  Vicar/President Rev. Jeswin John. All choir general body members are requested to attend the meeting . 

Sunday School

1. A Sunday School special song practice for Parish Day will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at 7 pm in Evanswood Church. This will be a short practice. All Sunday School children are requested to attend. 

2. An Easter Egg Hunt will be organized for all Sunday School children on March 30, 2024, Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm in Evanswood Church. Parents, please encourage all children to participate and please invite friends to attend as well. We need candies for the egg hunt, so we request generous donations of candy. When selecting candies please make sure it's without nuts and small-size candy so it can fit inside an egg. Please get in touch with Mrs. Siby Binu Sunday School Superintendent or Mr. Shine Eapen to submit your donations or if you have any questions. 

Edavaka Mission

A Lent Evening Prayer, led by the STJMTC Edavaka Mission thru WebEx will be held on Wednesday March 20th at 7 pm via Webex. All members are  requested to participate. 

Youth Fellowship

Diocesan Youth Fellowship Wednesday lent prayer will be held on Wednesday March 20th  at 8pm. The Midwest youths will lead the prayer. An online link will be provided to all the youths. 

Yuvajana Sakhyam

The Yuvajana Sakhyam Monthly meeting and General Body will be held online on Sunday March 24th 2024 , 6 Pm, via Webex, presided by Vicar/President Rev. Jeswin John. All Yuvajana Sakhyam members are requested to attend the meeting . 

Inauguration of the activities of the Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam  Diocese of North America for the year 2024  will be held on March 24th Sunday at 8.30 pm via Zoom and Mar Thoma media Live. His Grace Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa will inaugurate the activities.

Message from the Trustees

1 Diocesan Sunday offertory has been received from 22 families. We thank the families who prayerfully participated in the special offertory. Trustees request the diocesan contributions to be remitted by next Sunday.  

2  The list of items required to furnish the Parsonage will be available in the Fellowship hallway. If you wish to sponsor any item, please contact the Trustees and/ or the secretary.  

Refreshment

Thank you Mrs. Jaya Mathai and family for sponsoring today’s refreshments.
